Goal as a board member:
- To become a school system that promotes and maintains the philosophy that the student and the student's needs are our top priority and to provide every student with the materials needed so they may reach their ultimate educational potential.
- To become a school system that recruits, retains, and compensates the highest, most qualified teachers and to provide and environment conducive to learning, and to provide all teachers with materials needed to assure their success.
- To build the communities support and understand of public education and to encourage/insist parental involvement in the education of their children.
- To build a solid, trusting working relationship with the county
commission, other Boards of Education, Legislation, and Congressional
delegations to ensure that our students and our school systems best interest
is considered when proposed regulations are debated.
- To become a school system that focuses on delivering the highest quality,
equal educational opportunity to each and every child of Polk County and to
become a system where above or below and East or West isn't a deciding
factor. |
